THE SAILING EXPERIENCE

Life aboard the boat is an essential part of the adventure—immersive, social, and full of unforgettable moments. Think of it as your floating basecamp, where you rest, recharge, and prepare for the next day’s climbing and sailing adventures.

Cozy & Comfortable Cabins

Guests stay in shared cabins featuring double-sized or bunk beds, designed for two people per cabin. While space is compact, it’s all about the experience—fall asleep to the sound of the sea and wake up ready for adventure.

A Shared Adventure

Just like in the mountains, teamwork is key! After a day of climbing, some will help stow the gear, others will cook, and a few will take on dishwashing duties—creating a dynamic, communal atmosphere.

Meals & Cooking Together

Food is fuel for adventure! Everyone takes turns preparing and cooking meals, making dining a social and rewarding part of the journey. Bring your favorite recipes and enjoy sharing meals under the open sky.

Sustainable Living at Sea

Like any true basecamp, resources are limited. Water and electricity need to be used mindfully, fostering a simple and eco-conscious way of living, fully connected to nature.

Recharge for the Next Challenge

The boat is more than just a means of travel—it’s a place to relax, share stories, and restore your energy before the next climb or sail. Whether it’s stretching on deck, enjoying a sunset swim, or simply lying under the stars, life onboard is all about balance.

WARNING: Unforgettable Friendships Ahead!

Life on a boat is fun, spontaneous, and incredibly rewarding. Be prepared to laugh, share stories, and create lifelong friendships with like-minded adventurers.

An ordinary day in Majorca

As the sun rises over the turquoise waters of Mallorca, a refreshing morning dive sets the tone for the day. Back on deck, fresh coffee brews as we hoist the sails and head toward the next Deep Water Soloing adventure.

We cruise directly below towering limestone cliffs, some of the most famous DWS crags in the world. Using the dinghy, we access the climbs with ease, reaching the perfect launch points. With steep overhangs, endless jugs, and deep blue water below, every route is a thrilling mix of challenge and freedom—no ropes, just you and the rock.

Between climbs, we sail from one stunning bay to another, stopping to swim in hidden coves and soak in Mallorca’s breathtaking coastline. The journey itself is as incredible as the climbing.

As the sun sets, we explore hidden sea caves, discovering secret passages carved by the waves over centuries. Later, we step ashore for a homemade paella at a local taverna, sharing stories of the day’s adventures over fresh seafood and local flavors.

Climbing style & rock type

Majorca boasts excellent limestone, offering a perfect playground for Deep Water Soloing. The rock formations provide a mix of plentiful jugs and pockets, making for exhilarating and fluid climbing.

  • Climbing Style – Powerful, dynamic moves define the experience, creating an exciting and physically engaging adventure.
  • Mental Challenge – Also known as Psycho-Bloc, DWS is not just physically demanding—it’s a true mental test, pushing you to overcome fear and trust your movement above the open sea!

Mallorca’s unique limestone cliffs and deep-water landings make it the world’s top DWS destinations.

Level & skills

  • A good level of physical fitness is important for actively participating in daily activities such as rock climbing and hiking.
  • Our selected climbing crags offer a wide range of grades, ensuring that participants of all skill levels can enjoy and challenge themselves at their own pace. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber, there will always be suitable routes to match your ability and goals.
  • To get the most fun out of this tour, we recommend a minimum climbing level of 6b/5.11a, as this will allow you to access a greater number of routes. Less experienced climbers can still enjoy DWS, with opportunities to try it at their own level—just be ready for a physical and exciting challenge!

We strongly encourage participants to have proficient swimming skills, as falling into the water is an essential part of DWS.

No harness, no quick-draws, no rope…just your bathing suit, your climbing shoes and chalk bag…and if you fall? No worries, the Mediterranean sea will be there to catch you as the softest and more refreshing crash pad you have ever felt.
Majorca is the cradle of deep water solo and it is on its pure limestone cliffs where everything began. The rock climbing in Majorca started in the late 70’s when a group of locals guided by Miquel Riera recognized the potential of the island and equipped the first sport climbing crags. But it wasn’t until Miquel got passionate about bouldering (bloc in Spanish) that the concept of deep water solo was developed.
In fact it was at the bouldering area of Porto Pi, located right by the sea, where Miquel and his fellows had a realization: you could climb above water and use the sea as a crash pad! Also, a great idea to escape the heat of Majorca’s hot summers! Once they progressed in their exploration and the lines got higher, they also understood the key role played by the mind (psico in Spanish) and…psico-bloc was
Trough the years Miquel Riera continued his exploration and by inviting world class climbers on the island many new lines were established. But one among all the others brought the attention of the climbing community to the island. This guy was Cris Sharma which with his video of the deep water solo ascent of Es Pontas in Cala Santanyi (still unrepeated) established Majorca as the deep water solo mecca for the rock climbers.
Our tour goes trough the most renowned deep water solo crags in the world with the privilege of accessing them right by the sea! Approaching the climbs by boat will in fact give us an enormous advantage as we will have direct access to the crags and the dingy will play a key role assisting the climbers after the dives and during the water starts of the routes plus, of course, providing a comfortable platform where to rest, to overlook at the lines, to chalk up and start to climb again.
